“There was this long floating dock that had tarpon laying up under it. They would come up and gulp air and ambush bait as it came by in the current. I figured out where the were rising then I would cast hogy with a worm hook in it on to the dock and wait for them to come up. When they did I would flip the hogy of the dock right on top of them. They would slam it every time. Only problem was the hogy was trashed. It was over 85 degrees and they would get real soft. Even tore them up trying to put hook in hogy. Was able to fish this for a solid month with all kinds of baits that would get a strike or two. But the hogys always got hit. I ran out of hogys after my fist 3 days 21 Tarpon strikes with 12 landed. “
